As an Information Security Analyst Intern at Stewart, you will have access to work on real-world projects, gain insights from mentors and leaders throughout the organization, and have the opportunity to participate in social and community events to enhance the experience – ultimately providing you with tools to support your transition from college to professional life. Our Summer Internship program runs June 1 – August 7, 2026 (Hybrid / IN-OFFICE 2-3 days week) During the internship, you will:

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s level degree program
  • Be able to fulfill the duties of the role in a full-time, hybrid environment for the duration of the 10-week program, located in Houston, TX
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the passion and energy to leave your mark
  • Have the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization
  • Be adept at handling a changing workload and intaking a high volume of information
  • Have a passion for seeking out process enhancements or solutions and simultaneously delivering on your current project workload
  • Be results-oriented, innovative, collaborative, analytical, hands-on, inquisitive, a quick learner, proactive, and have excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
  • Be extremely organized and attentive to detail while still being able to effectively handle multi-faceted tasks
  • Be available to complete the entire internship program as defined by the communicated program start and end dates
  • Be fluent in oral and written English
  • Be eligible to legally work in the country in which you are applying, without company sponsorship or time restriction

Responsibilities

  • Assist security analysts and engineers with routine tasks and tools management
  • Create or assist in the creation of documentation both internal and external
  • Support; escalate; and document cyber event reports
  • Provide cyber event handling functions for cybersecurity events including but not limited to intrusion detection; malware infections; denial-of-service attacks; privileged account misuse; classified spillage; and other network breaches
  • Take appropriate action on data obtained through customer reporting; open source research; and enterprise security tools
  • Be assigned projects that help to deliver on customer outcomes and identify business improvements
  • Be supported by a mentor, your manager, various business leaders, and the Human Resources team, all of whom will ensure you have a valuable learning experience
  • Receive coaching and direct support and feedback to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop skills in your functional area of focus
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interns to inform your project(s)
  • Learn internal processes, systems, and other industry-related information
