By joining our District Central Office as an Information Officer III in Jefferson County, you’ll have the opportunity to perform research, write articles and feature stories for national and regional tourist, travel, trade, industrial and business publications and other media.

Requirements

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Three years of experience in journalism, public relations, or experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this job title series.
Maintain a valid driver’s license

Experience in various graphic design platforms

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage every aspect of external and internal communications
Draft and distribute press releases
Create and schedule social media posts and manage the inbox
Photograph active job sites and develop graphics to support communication materials
Conduct interviews with media outlets and prepare timely/accurate responses to inquiries
