Job Responsibilities: Promptly and professionally answers and routes incoming telephone calls; provides accurate information, transfers calls, and offers voicemail or alternative solutions as needed Greets patients, visitors, and staff; provides direction and assistance while maintaining a welcoming environment Supports front desk operations including check-in/check-out, patient registration, and insurance verification as applicable Assists with scheduling appointments across departments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to provider templates and guidelines Supports referral management functions including intake, documentation, follow-up, and coordination of care Maintains confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies Adapts quickly to different departmental workflows, systems, and expectations Maintains a clean, organized, and professional workspace Provides coverage across departments as needed based on operational demands Performs other duties as assigned Education: High school diploma or equivalent required Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in customer service, administrative support, or healthcare operations preferred Experience with scheduling, referrals, or front desk operations in a healthcare setting strongly preferred Skills & Competencies : Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and accuracy Professional demeanor with a patient-centered mindset Basic computer proficiency (EHR experience preferred)
