About The Position

This position leads the delivery and management of data, reports, and analytics across the organization. The role involves working with internal teams to gather requirements and help ensure that information delivery systems are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business needs. The role supports reporting and information delivery by individually and/or managing a team that gathers, cleans, and manipulates structured data. This role creates or manages the creation of advanced reports and dashboards, and implementation of guided and embedded analytics and data as a service capabilities and communicates and trains business partners and leadership to adopt information delivery solutions to support business decision-making. The role mentors or trains less experienced team members and supervises who are individual contributors or people leaders with small span of control to support their work quality and encourage peer learning. The position performs work independently while receiving minimal guidance and coaching.

Requirements

  • Minimum seven years of work experience required in data analysis, statistical or mathematical modeling, or related.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Strong storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, guides, coaches, and manages the performance of direct reports. Delivers regular feedback and supports professional development. Relies on emerging skill in employee engagement to promote a high-performance culture where excellence is standard and innovation is actively encouraged.
  • Leads discussions with cross-functional business partners and teams to understand and collaborate on complex business objectives. Influences solution strategies and outcomes by leveraging in-depth knowledge of the business. Uses practical experience in data management or analysis to provide insights that support decision-making.
  • Facilitates adoption of insights delivery solution among business partners, including reporting, guided analytics, self-service, embedded, augmented, and data as a service capability. Manages collection of data from a variety of sources and integration and transformation of disparate datasets to create cohesive datasets for reports and dashboards.
  • Manages assessment of data quality and application of data hygiene techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency. Supports data reliability by managing quality checks, documentation of data processes, and collaboration with more experienced analysts for peer review and data validation as needed.
  • Coordinates with cross- functional technical teams including data governance, IT, data engineers and others to ensure data integrity and optimize data pipelines. Identifies data quality issues and collaborates to resolve them.
  • Builds or manages a team that builds reports or business intelligence dashboards, guided analytics, embedded, augmented, and data as a service capabilities or uses the output of reports created by others.
  • Manages thorough and robust exploratory data analysis (EDA).
  • Stays informed about emerging reporting and data visualization methodologies, tools, and best practices. Applies knowledge and continuous learning to improve the quality of own work and the work of others on the team. May informally mentor or train less experienced team members to support their work quality and peer learning. Actively seeks feedback from more experienced decision science analysts and engages in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and contribute effectively to team and business unit objectives. Performs other duties as assigned.
