About The Position

Our Informatics Department plays a vital role in optimizing technology, strengthening workflows, and ensuring accurate data across the organization. We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative Informatics Analyst to join our growing team. Position Overview The Informatics Analyst supports the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of UMH’s clinical, financial, and ancillary information systems, with a primary focus on Meditech Expanse and related reporting tools. This role works closely with the Informatics Director, Informatics Team, department leaders, and end-users to troubleshoot system issues, maintain configurations, support reporting needs, validate system changes, and promote data accuracy and integrity across systems. This position reports to the Informatics Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with healthcare information systems (Meditech Expanse preferred)
  • Experience in reporting, analytics, or system support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of NPR, DR, SQL, Access, or comparable reporting tools
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to end-users
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments

Responsibilities

  • Support Meditech Expanse applications across clinical and non-clinical departments
  • Maintain system dictionaries, screens, menus, and configurations
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for workflow, system, and reporting issues
  • Assist with system testing and validation during upgrades or enhancements
  • Develop and maintain ad-hoc and scheduled reports using NPR, BCA, DR, SQL, or similar tools
  • Validate data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • Support departments with operational, regulatory, and performance reporting needs
  • Identify data integrity issues and assist with corrective solutions
  • Collaborate with leaders to review and improve workflows
  • Assist with documentation of processes and workflow changes
  • Provide end-user training and system support
  • Create quick-reference materials and job aids
  • Participate in informatics projects and EHR initiatives
