About The Position

Valley-Wide Health Systems is seeking an Infection Control/Safety Coordinator to support infection prevention and safety efforts across the organization, helping ensure a safe, compliant environment for both patients and employees.

Requirements

  • Licensed RN, BSN Preferred
  • Previous administrative responsibilities and experience in infectious control, employee health, and direct patient care.
  • Maintains the highest level of professional ethics and confidentiality

  • Must be able to interact with patients courteously and calmly

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and monitoring of infection prevention and safety policies to ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct infection control audits and monitoring activities, including hand hygiene, HAIs, cleanliness, and sterilization using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with leadership and regional operations to implement infection prevention and safety practices across the organization.
  • Participate in infection prevention, safety, and emergency preparedness committees, including policy development and documentation.
  • Monitor infection trends and risks across patient populations and regions and assist with reporting to county and state health departments.
  • Assist with employee health initiatives, including vaccination compliance, workers’ compensation reporting, and modified duty coordination.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response activities in coordination with internal teams and regional health coalitions.
  • Conduct safety inspections, drills, and training to support OSHA compliance and promote a culture of safety.
  • Assist with investigation of safety events, near misses, and root cause analyses, including development of corrective action plans.
  • Support organizational readiness for regulatory surveys and accreditations, including HRSA, AAAHC, and Operational Site Visits.
