About The Position

Full Time 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 0700-330 Occasional Call Assist the Infection Control Department in the management of hospital Infection Control Program and serves as a consultant to all hospital departments regarding infections and current preventative measures. Responsible for assisting with surveillance, control and prevention of infectious disease by planning, organizing and managing the hospital Infection Control Program. Consultant to all hospital departments regarding infections and current preventative measures Determines and implements Quality Improvement monitors for Infection Control and reports all data to the infection control committee and hospital Quality Improvement program. Provides in-service and orientation to hospital personnel regarding infection control policies and procedures in accordance with accreditation standards. Performs surveillance activities as directed by the Infection Control Committee and facilitates corrective actions as necessary. Reviews microbiologic data and advises appropriate personnel of significant findings. Reports to state and federal agencies those disease required reportable. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse in the state of KY
  • Relevant work experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • APIC certification preferred
