About The Position

ROCKBRIDGE AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bath counties, and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. RACS will provide training, supervision, and education opportunities specific to the position. Position Overview: As a part-time Infant Educator/Service Coordinator (15-25 hours per week), you will: Function as a member of the transdisciplinary team in the RAISE Early Intervention Program, supporting families with infants and toddlers who have developmental delays, disabilities, or are at high risk for delay. Complete intakes, which include developmental screenings, and serve as a member of the team that determines eligibility for Part C services. Work closely with families, service coordinators, and other early intervention providers as outlined in the child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) to ensure services align with the family's concerns, priorities, and available resources. Work independently while demonstrating initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, while maintaining client confidentiality in compliance with RACS policies, FERPA, and HIPAA.

Requirements

  • Must meet and maintain the qualifications of an Early Intervention Professional as outlined in the Infant and Toddler Connection of Virginia's Practice Manual for Part C services.
  • A valid Virginia driver's license is required and must maintain a safe driving record.
  • All applicants are subject to a background investigation. Investigations may include fingerprint checks (State Police); local agency checks; employment verification; verification of education (relevant to employment); and other checks based on the position.
  • All persons that are newly hired, rehired, transferred, promoted, or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6-month probationary period.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience in a field related to early intervention is preferred.
