Zoo Educators have a passion for environmental education and connecting audiences with wildlife and wild places. They facilitate a variety of programs including classes, expeditions, scout workshops, animal presentations, and camps to audiences of all ages. They are flexible to adapt to different programs and audiences and a changing schedule. Programs are scheduled throughout the week, on weekdays and weekends, and at various times, including morning, afternoon, and evening. There is also seasonal variability in programming, and educators should be prepared to transition to primarily working in ZooCamp or helping with ZooTeens during the summer months.
