About The Position

Mile High Early Learning has openings for Infant and Toddler Teachers at multiple locations in Denver. Requirements

  • AA or BA in ECE or Child Development OR
  • BA/MA in an unrelated field with a current Teaching License with an endorsement in ElEd, ECE or SpEd.
  • CDA I/T (Child Development Associates) OR
  • PDIS Level II (with ECE 111 or EQIT Cert., ECE 101 and 103)
  • Ability to work full time work week, Monday through Friday, occasional evening meetings

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual - Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, or Somali (a plus)
  • Experience with the Montessori philosophy (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead a classroom of eight infant or toddlers
  • Work closely as a teaching team to individualize the curriculum to meet the children's needs
  • Support children's social and emotional needs
  • Complete developmental assessments and screenings
  • Complete home visits (twice per year) and parent teacher conferences
  • Work as a teaching team to complete parent/teacher conference and home visits
  • Encourage and support parent involvement in the classroom
  • Create a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Supervise the safety of the children in care
  • Communicate with coworkers and families in a warm and professional manner
