Requirements

  • May require a bachelor's degree and/or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Three years supervisory experience necessary.
  • Strong management, communications, problem solving, and organizational skills required.
  • Knowledge of the water industry required.
  • Excellent technical skills, including computer-aid design experience.
  • Understanding of fluid mechanics, strength of materials, materials selection, mechanical system analysis, control systems, mechanical design, and modeling.
  • Complete understanding of all purified water systems components. Industrial water treatment systems experience (including water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, de-ionization, resin, filters, softeners).
  • Experience and working knowledge of all plumbing materials, copper, and related products (PVC, CPVC, Poly and PVDF).
  • Presentation and facilitation skills within the classroom training experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills, problem solving, oral and written communication and organizational skills required.
  • Must understand water chemistry and basic knowledge of electricity and control wiring.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Computer skills, with demonstrated experience in Excel, Word, CAD and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial performance of the location:
  • Maintain and safeguard the company's assets (building, fleet, inventory, records, equipment, etc.)
  • Responsible for safe, efficient operation and preventive maintenance of the facility.
  • Review and control expenses.
  • Maintain an above-average growth rate in the marketplace. Tracking new customers and cancelations, increasing Net News.
  • Work with Regional Manager to prepare annual budget/plans, regularly review actual performance vs. plan, analyze variances, and take action necessary to achieve goals.
  • Keep abreast of local market conditions in order to increase market penetration.
  • Manage Safety plan for IL.
  • Provides advanced support, and oversight of installation, start-up, service maintenance, modification and repair of commercial and industrial water purification equipment and systems.
  • Works with customers to schedule installation and service.
  • Manages work schedule, performance and training of service technician(s) in area office.
  • Supervises delivery and installation of DI tanks for area customers.
  • Communicate with the customer verbally or in writing, service related issues, including troubleshooting and diagnosis problems, and recommend the best course of action.
  • Stay current on QSR procedures and follow those procedures as they relate to dialysis procedures.
  • Prepare daily logs and administrative paperwork regarding daily work.
  • Identify sales opportunities and report to Industrial Sales team.
  • On-call/after hours resource for industrial service needs.
  • Provide leadership to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Conducts quarterly performance reviews with IL Team Members. Responsible for performance, including hiring, pay recommendations and dismissals.
  • Control and minimize labor, delivery, administrative supplies and repair expenses.
  • Develops, delivers and oversees all aspects of training for the delivery and service team.
  • Responsible for cash management and business operations, including coordination with the Madison office providing sales and service contracts, daily paperwork, scheduling, delivery, deposits and IL accounts payable.
  • Direct and manage facility operations for maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving.
  • Establish and monitor overall facility performance for production and quality standards.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities, automobiles and equipment; replace, service, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
  • Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among facility personnel.
  • Primary contact for building security.
  • Responsible for pre-job and current job support to Industrial Sales Engineers, Project Managers, Industrial Technicians, and customers. Support includes sales calls, project meetings, quote and bid-spec review, equipment selection, installation material selection, system installation and operation qualifications.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of each project.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Provides advanced support, and oversight of installation, start-up, service maintenance, modification and repair of commercial and industrial water purification equipment and systems.
  • Communicate with the customer verbally or in writing, service-related issues, including troubleshooting and diagnosis problems, and recommend the best course of action.
  • Stay current on QSR procedures and follow those procedures.
  • Stay current on industry standards including AAMI, ASTM, CMS, USP, etc.
  • Identify sales opportunities and report to Industrial Sales team
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
