What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran: We are looking for a Wastewater Operator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. You will regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment System as directed by the Project Manager. Essential duties include but not limited to: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Perform operations and maintenance duties on the company’s treatment system, including monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements. Monitor water/wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, adjusting as necessary to control their operation. Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and EPA standards. Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties. Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintains all necessary records. Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties. Analyze instantaneous and historical data to decide and act on needed process/operational adjustments (e.g. demand, chemical dosage, process adjustments). Promptly troubleshoot process, instrumentation, data, and mechanical problems. Schedule: This position will require a rotating schedule once every three weeks from 7:00am to 3:30pm and 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Our staff participate in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours. Will be required to respond to an emergency or unpredictable situations.
