What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran: Woodard & Curran is looking for a Lead Industrial Wastewater Operator to join our team in Northwest Houston, Texas. You will regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment System, as well as oversee a team of two Operators, as directed by the Project Manager. You will ensure safety standards are met in all operations, as well as monitor wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation. In addition, you will routinely interact with the client and attend scheduled meetings to provide updates, discuss operational needs, and support strong working relationships. Additional responsibilities may include: Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and EPA standards. Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties. Reviews trends, records, and reports to maintain proper procedure and standards; collect and tabulate operational log data for regulatory agencies. Recognize deviations or irregularities in the plant operation and maintenance; adjust the treatment plant process and equipment in order to maintain the required quality standards. Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintain all necessary records. Assist contractors and consultants with specific tasks as necessary. Coordinate with the Project manager to maintain an inventory of all chemicals, supplies, repair parts, and other necessary items for the proper operation of the wastewater treatment plant. Schedule: Monday â Friday, eight hour shifts with weekends as needed. Our staff participate in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours and will be required to respond to emergency or unpredictable situations. What will you need to succeed? Texas Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's License or the ability to obtain through the operatorâs exam or reciprocity preferred.
