Industrial Security Manager

About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Industrial Security Manager to join the team in Seal Beach, CA. We are looking for a proven security professional with extensive experience managing security programs within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) to protect sensitive government, intellectual, and proprietary information from unauthorized disclosure. The Manager will lead employees to perform security inquiries, compliance assessments, and implementation of security controls in accordance with DIB requirements and government regulations. This role will develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals aligned with both Boeing and DIB standards. The Manager will provide technical oversight of suppliers, lead process improvements, and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), by the federal government within the last 5 years, or enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years.
  • 10+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field
  • Experience managing security teams and programs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access
  • Willing to travel 20% of the time or more as needed
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employees performing activities to protect government, intellectual, third party, and company information from unauthorized disclosure within the Defense Industrial Base environment
  • Execute internal security controls through compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure adherence to government, DIB, and company regulations/requirements
  • Identify deficiencies, develop, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with DIB security standards
  • Conduct security inquiries and administrative investigations in accordance with established procedures to determine compliance levels
  • Develop, implement, and administer security education, procedures, and physical controls for large and/or highly complex programs within the DIB
  • Provide technical management and oversight of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and DIB requirements
  • Lead continuous process improvements to enhance security posture and operational efficiency in a DIB context
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports to support program goals
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes related to security
  • Support internal and external audits and investigations as the focal point for the IAMD portfolio
  • Contribute to long-range business planning to inform resource allocation and risk reduction strategies within the DIB framewor
