In this position you will carry out the security measures necessary for implementing requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), government security regulations, and company security policies and procedures. Primary duties include the execution of the daily personnel security program requirements as well as participation and contribution to the company’s security program. Conduct personnel and security administration tasks in support of an effective security education program.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance
  • 0 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

  • The candidate must be able to work on multiple tasks and work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing responsibilities and assignments.
  • Candidate must work well in a team environment and possess excellent speaking, written, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient and possess Microsoft Office word, excel, and power point skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DOE, IC, and other government security regulatory manuals is a plus.
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn and stay updated with industry advancements.
  • Active security clearance (enrolled in CE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other security activities for HII Mission Technologies to include personnel security and other relevant program security needs.
  • Conduct personnel security actions to include badging, fingerprinting, personnel record keeping and updating.
  • Ensure foreign travel briefings and debriefings are completed in a timely manner through the Foreign Travel Dashboard and reported through DISS when applicable.
  • Provide guidance to employees on the accuracy and completion of various security paperwork.
  • Assist with managing the Continuous Vetting Program (CV) for employees.
  • Ensure accuracy of the Access Commander database and other security tools is kept up to date with required information.
  • Understand, implement and enforce 32 CFR Part 117 and Sead 3 Reporting Requirements to program employees.
  • Conduct security training, briefings, and debriefings. To include onboarding new HII employees.
  • Administer Defense Information for Security System (DISS) and the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) activity including processing and maintaining personnel security clearances and visit requests.
  • Maintain visitor control functions by verifying incoming visit authorization requests (VARs) as well as process outgoing visit requests through DISS.
  • Initiate, review, and submit clearance investigations and reinvestigations for employees through NBIS and track accordingly.
  • Maintain records in compliance with HII Mission Technologies and HII Mission Technologies Security Operations policies and procedures.
  • Capture fingerprints electronically utilizing SWFT.
