About The Position

Accurately paint quality products according given direction and shop order’s requests. Follows policies and procedures put in place as well as any modifications while always being aware to preserving the product’s integrity and quality. Requirements

Must fill out the OSHA Respirator Medical Evaluation form, which is reviewed by a physician. The physician will evaluate whether or not the employee is fit to wear a respirator at that time.
Able to prioritize and sort jobs according to need
Good math skills
Must be safety minded
Requires attention to detail and a high standard of quality
Must comply to ISO 9000 required policies
Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment
Good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills
Willingness and ability to learn and perform other jobs
Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally
With reference to duties as a Hazardous Waste Management employee:
Must be trained and certified within six months from the date of employment to perform all functions relating to handling, storing and shipping hazardous waste. If engaged in any activities involving hazardous waste, employee must be under the supervision of a properly RCRA trained and certified employee.
Must be trained and certified under DOT regulations for handling, packaging, preparing paperwork, and shipments of hazardous materials.
Must be familiar with and follow Demco’s Contingency Plan and Emergency Procedures regarding hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

To paint according to print directions
To have safe work habits and follow all safety rules and procedures
To attend required safety training applicable to all regulatory programs
To follow procedures for all regulatory programs including Demco’s hazardous waste management program
Able to find, print and understand shop orders, customer orders and engineer drawings
Conscientious of following procedures and keeping accurate records
Good record keeping skills and able to keep an accurate count on product
To mentor and train other employees
Able to read and use measuring tools accurately
To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis
To work as a team and be self motivated to work independently
To actively be looking for new and improved ways to do things
Meet reasonable production goals
