Richmond Foundry is looking for an Industrial Mechanic to be the backbone of our high-tech foundry in Dayton, NJ! This dual-threat role is critical for minimizing downtime and maximizing production. You will be responsible for the rapid diagnosis and repair of complex electrical systems (PLCs, VFDs, motors) and mechanical equipment (hydraulics, gearboxes, conveyors). Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience is a must.
  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician and mechanic, ideally in a foundry or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, and mechanical systems
  • Extensive understanding of three-phase electrical systems and control theory
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manual
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts
  • Standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods
  • Use of hand tools and electrical testing equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or additional education preferred
  • Certification or licensing as an electrician is preferred
  • Forklift Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, motors, and control panels
  • Perform mechanical repairs on plant equipment, conveyors, and machinery
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and schematics
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Assist in upgrades and new equipment installations
