Position Overview: The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs intermediate-level duties in the maintenance department of our large, state-of-the-art anaerobic digestion (AD) facility. Responsibilities include completing routine preventative maintenance and assisting in non-routine maintenance.

Requirements

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of various plant equipment
  • Must have experience with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical (minor), and some electronic work
  • Read blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings
  • Experience with all common hand/ power tools including pneumatic, electric and battery-powered.
  • Basic Welding/ fabrication skills
  • Operate a variety of pumping, treatment, and control equipment via SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system
  • Ability to apply practices and techniques for operating pumps, valves, electric motors, diesel engines, and SCADA control systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent; and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in plant maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects anaerobic digestions facility equipment to ensure its proper operation in order to minimize interruptions to the plants' operation and to alleviate costly repairs; makes adjustments to operating equipment; performs semi-skilled maintenance and repairs to plant equipment
  • Adhere to a strict PM schedule to ensure maximum uptime
  • Operates installs, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, overhauls, diagnoses, tests and maintains all anaerobic digester equipment and systems
  • Conducts plant equipment startups and shutdown at the direction of the Lead Plant Operator
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of records, logs and reports
