About The Position

Eco Safe Abatement in Nevada is looking for a Mobile Lab Technician to test for asbestos, mold, and lead. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science (like environmental science, chemistry, or biology) is preferred.
  • Certifications in asbestos, mold, or lead testing are a plus.
  • Experience testing for asbestos, mold, or lead is helpful.
  • Must pay attention to detail and follow instructions.
  • Good at solving problems and understanding test results.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Able to work alone, manage your time, and travel regularly.
  • Must be committed to safety.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Visit homes and businesses across Nevada to collect samples for asbestos, mold, and lead testing.
  • Use proper tools and follow safety rules to gather samples.
  • Test samples on-site using lab equipment.
  • Inspect buildings to check for asbestos, mold, or lead.
  • Record your findings and keep clear notes.
  • Analyze results and decide if there are any hazards.
  • Write simple reports for clients with your findings and suggestions.
  • Work with restoration companies, contractors, and insurance companies.
  • Keep up to date with safety rules and regulations.
  • Take care of lab tools and equipment.
  • Help keep track of supplies.
  • Take part in training to improve your skills.
