About The Position

This position is offered within Apple’s EHS and Occupational Health organization. The individual selected for this role will serve as an Industrial Hygiene subject matter expert, supporting all lines of business including organizations responsible for research and development, manufacturing, Apple TV, Data Centers, Retail Operations, and special project teams. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in assessing, evaluating, and controlling exposures and occupational hazards in a wide variety of environments. Diverse process and industry experience, combined with deep technical knowledge in exposure assessment and statistics, will enable you to serve as an our internal expert for all Industrial Hygiene matters. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a passion for teaching, training, and developing the Industrial Hygiene skill set of others. You will have proven experience in project management and driving process improvements within complex organizations. You will be highly adaptable, with a sense of curiosity that enables you to thrive while working on sophisticated problems, cutting through ambiguity, and delivering outstanding support to allow our customers to deliver products that change the world.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional industrial hygiene experience.
  • Advanced degree in this discipline - Master of Science (MS) or Master of Public Health (MPH) in Industrial Hygiene.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is required.
  • Subject matter expertise in exposure assessment, noise, industrial ventilation, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, respiratory protection, and personal protective equipment.
  • Experience with the design and evaluation of exposure controls for areas of industrial hygiene expertise.
  • Proven experience with industrial hygiene program development and implementation.
  • Experience with EHS auditing and compliance assurance.
  • Experience in highly complex industries such as semiconductor laboratory R&D, chemical manufacturing, or microelectronic manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Agile).
  • Experience with enterprise-wide health and safety data systems.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally between 15% and 25%.
