About The Position

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Industrial Grinder- 1st Shift. The core hours are Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.53/hour per hour. What you'll do: Grind and polish metal. Use spot welding equipment, welds appropriate parts together based on specifications. Run samples and check product quality against prints. Adjust spot welder to properly weld material based on thickness and finish. Performs all quality checks, fill out daily activity reports, and enter time recording in SAP. Changes welding tips as necessary. Performs 5S & Continuous Improvement activities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered

Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail.
Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate.
Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
