What You’ll Do Install wiring, conduit systems, power supplies, lighting, and other electrical components following blueprints and technical specifications Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections to reduce downtime and extend equipment life Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic control systems using test instruments to identify faults Work with and interpret automated industrial systems, including PLC ladder logic programs Follow all electrical safety standards, codes, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance work What We’re Looking For We are seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals who are comfortable working in industrial and manufacturing environments. You’ll be successful if you have: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and industrial equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints A safety-first mindset with strict adherence to lockout/tagout and electrical codes Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an industrial electrician apprenticeship or trade school program Certifications State or local journeyman electrician license preferred Technical Skills Experience with electrical systems, motors, transformers, VFDs, and diagnostic tools Familiarity with PLC ladder logic and automated systems Physical & Work Environment Requirements This is a physically demanding role that requires: Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, volatile materials, and moving machinery Standing and walking for most of an 8-hour shift with frequent reaching and material handling Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling Regular lifting up to 50 lbs. and frequent lifting up to 100 lbs. Routine use of hand tools, air-powered tools, and cleaning materials Strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols Why Join Penn Color?
