Step into a day on the road Sun up to sun down, youre the pro customers count on. You arrive on site, take in the sounds of a busy line, and zero in on the root cause. You trace signal paths, review prints, and observe machinery in motion. When you spot the culprit, you safely lock out, dismantle, adjust, repair or replace the part, button it back up, and document the fix so the next shift runs smoothly. What youll tackle Perform expert break/fix and preventative maintenance: observe equipment in operation, determine root cause, dismantle to access/replace defective parts, adjust controls, and return systems to optimal performance. Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical circuitry, mechanical assemblies, and fluid power systems; navigate industrial control systems to analyze complex equipment. Identify, source, and stage parts, supplies, and repair items needed to complete maintenance and repairs. Work alongside customer counterparts to carry out reliability and preventive maintenance procedures aligned with industry standards, often with minimal instruction. Set up and operate machining equipment (lathe, drill press, grinder, and related metalworking tools) to fabricate/repair parts; perform welding as needed. Complete detailed service reports and update applicable management systems to capture work performed and recommendations. Conform to customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping expectations, and safety processes on every site. Apply strong electrical, mechanical, and fluid power aptitude to troubleshoot, repair, and verify performance. Follow all safety policies, rules, regulations, and technical instructions; maintain situational awareness and actively identify unsafe conditions/behaviors. Advance your skills through on-the-job training and technical self-study programs.
