About The Position

Industrial Engineering Manager (Industrial Engineering Management) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First‑Line Industrial Engineering Manager (Level K) to join the 777/777X Industrial Engineering team in Everett, WA, with possible opportunities to support other programs As an Industrial Engineering First-Line Manager, you will be working closely with Operations leaders and other stakeholders as we increase production rates and improve productivity. The BCA IE team you will be leading provides a critical role in helping Operations manage the production system and improving processes for into the future. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Everett, WA)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations/Industrial Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Experience using Systematic Problem Solving.
  • Discrete-event simulation experience.
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience establishing partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports and conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of work group, project or process goals.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities to improve work-related products and processes within own work group, project or process and engaging and empowering employees to make process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing industrial engineering activities associated with technical development, implementation, analysis and improvement activities throughout the business units.
  • Development and implementation of plans, policies and procedures in alignment with business plans, strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Acquires and coordinates resources for projects and processes and provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
