About The Position

Industrial Engineering Manager (Industrial Engineering Management) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First‑Line Industrial Engineering Manager (Level K) to join the 777/777X Industrial Engineering team in Everett, WA , with possible opportunities to support other programs As an Industrial Engineering First-Line Manager, you will be working closely with Operations leaders and other stakeholders as we increase production rates and improve productivity. The BCA IE team you will be leading provides a critical role in helping Operations manage the production system and improving processes for into the future. Position responsibilities: Manages employees performing industrial engineering activities associated with technical development, implementation, analysis and improvement activities throughout the business units. Development and implementation of plans, policies and procedures in alignment with business plans, strategies, goals, and objectives. Acquires and coordinates resources for projects and processes and provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Everett, WA)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations/Industrial Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Experience using Systematic Problem Solving.
  • Discrete-event simulation experience.
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience establishing partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports and conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of work group, project or process goals.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities to improve work-related products and processes within own work group, project or process and engaging and empowering employees to make process improvements.
