About The Position

The Manager, Industrial Engineering is a strategic, hands-on leader who partners closely with operations, customers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable engineering solutions within a co-pack and warehousing environment. This role blends technical expertise, customer engagement, and project leadership to drive process improvement, automation, and operational excellence across the network. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in industrial engineering, continuous improvement, and systems optimization, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and plays a key role in both new facility start-ups and ongoing operational enhancements. This position follows all corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and actively supports a strong safety and compliance culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in an operations, manufacturing, or warehouse environment and/or with an automation provider, integrator, or retailer/e-commerce organization
  • Demonstrated experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) features and functionality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Flexibility and willingness to support systems and operational needs as required

Nice To Haves

  • Basic working knowledge of Power BI
  • Foundational understanding of SQL
  • Experience supporting automation or systems integration projects
  • Exposure to data visualization, reporting, or operational analytics tools
  • Experience working in multi-site or high-volume distribution environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 1–2 Industrial Engineers
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and influence across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Drive engineering initiatives from concept through implementation
  • Support new facility start-ups by developing layouts, SOPs, processes, performance metrics, and operational structures
  • Design warehouse layouts for new and existing facilities using AutoCAD
  • Analyze storage, material handling, and zoning strategies to optimize warehouse flow and efficiency
  • Identify, design, and implement continuous improvement and automation initiatives
  • Develop ROI analyses and long-term automation and process improvement roadmaps
  • Evaluate automation technologies, partners, and solutions aligned with business growth and customer needs
  • Partner with IT, integrators, and controls teams to test and validate system integrations, software, and automation solutions
  • Ensure systems align with design specifications and operational requirements
  • Collaborate with Operations and Solution Design teams during the bid process to develop, price, and present engineering solutions
  • Develop bid documentation, support vendor selection, and ensure value-driven procurement decisions
  • Work directly with customers to design and integrate tailored engineering solutions
  • Build tools and dashboards to measure service levels, productivity, and key performance indicators
  • Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning
  • Apply industrial engineering principles and quantitative methods to improve utilization of labor, equipment, facilities, and capital
