It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. Role Overview: The Industrial Engineering Intern will perform work as defined by the project manager to improve plant processes by spearheading projects regarding safety, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements

Actively enrolled in a college level program, in a technical field, of at least a Junior status.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to gain a detailed understanding of products and processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Ability to implement and enforce safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

172nd Process Time studies – update standards. Verify existing process Cycle Times and update engineering files accordingly.
172nd equipment LOTO Procedures verified and created. Update or create Lockout Tagout procedures for 172nd process equipment.
Pallet rack capacities and labeling. Research existing pallet rack capabilities, then label each according to load capacity and specifications.
Process Improvement.
Completion of engineering & quality documentation.
Produce accurate work in a timely manner.
Effectively participate as a contributing member of the engineering team.
Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated but which may be assigned, and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
