It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. Role Overview: The Industrial Engineering Intern will perform work as defined by the project manager to improve plant processes by spearheading projects regarding safety, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a college level program, in a technical field, of at least a Junior status.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to gain a detailed understanding of products and processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Ability to implement and enforce safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • 172nd Process Time studies – update standards. Verify existing process Cycle Times and update engineering files accordingly.
  • 172nd equipment LOTO Procedures verified and created. Update or create Lockout Tagout procedures for 172nd process equipment.
  • Pallet rack capacities and labeling. Research existing pallet rack capabilities, then label each according to load capacity and specifications.
  • Process Improvement.
  • Completion of engineering & quality documentation.
  • Produce accurate work in a timely manner.
  • Effectively participate as a contributing member of the engineering team.
  • Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated but which may be assigned, and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
