Job Description: Support Manufacturing Engineers in developing production solutions and maintaining documentation to meet team goals. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in manufacturing engineering tasks like fixture design, cost reduction, and quality control, with support and direction. Conducts process capability studies for various manufacturing processes with guidance. Contributes to projects related to 6S, equipment, and production line flow under supervision. Updates and enhances plant layout drawings with guidance and assistance. Performs other assigned duties under the mentorship of the manufacturing engineer. Education and Experience Requirements: Intern must be currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program. Minimum of 4 semesters of manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering, preferred. Experience with CAD software, AutoCAD, or Solid Edge is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Communicates effectively in written and spoken form. Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Exhibits good decision-making and analytical problem-solving abilities. Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills. Works effectively in a team environment. Work Environment: Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
