Industrial Engineer Sr. (Level 3)
About The Position
As an industrial engineer you will work on a team of industrial engineers supporting a production team in the execution of program deliverables. Our team is responsible for work measurement, cost analysis, capacity requirements planning (reporting and analysis), capital project management and budget planning, discrete event simulation, and future business proposal analysis amongst other things. As an Industrial Engineer, you will support cross-functional improvement efforts for a production area, working closely with various teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes. You will also perform data analysis, observations, and time studies to support cost driver analysis and process improvement. Your responsibilities will include: -Supporting cross-functional improvement efforts for a production area -Identifying areas of focus for production improvement across a wide scope - Work directly with and in support of the production operations team -Performing observations and time studies to support cost driver analysis and process improvement -Using visualization and data analytic tools to analyze production processes -Applying Lean and Six-Sigma practices to production and leading major improvement efforts -Assisting in new product development and proposal efforts with data analysis Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or relevant years of work experience
- Experience with supporting a production/manufacturing environment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing, monitoring, and reporting metrics related to cost and schedule performance.
- Experience with forecasts, production schedules, and/or resource load staffing plans.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
