About The Position

Pharmaron is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician, Controls to support site operations through instrumentation calibration, process control system maintenance, and industrial electrical work. This role supports manufacturing, utilities, labs, and facility systems in a highly regulated cGMP environment.

Requirements

  • Rhode Island Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent state license
  • 10 years of experience as an industrial electrician in a regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of switchgear, VFDs, UPS systems, generators, and fire alarm systems
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and PLC code
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, DCS, BMS, and process control systems (DeltaV, Allen-Bradley)
  • Ability to follow and execute SOPs in a cGMP environment
  • Ability to work in an industrial facility (climb stairs/ladders, kneel, crawl, lift up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to participate in confined space entry and emergency response team
  • Medically cleared to wear required PPE (respirators, hearing protection, protective suits)
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Motivated to grow technical skills and knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing process equipment calibrations
  • Familiarity with automated calibration systems (e.g., Beamex)
  • Experience using CMMS systems

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems across the site
  • Perform calibrations on process instruments
  • Maintain and repair control systems including BMS, PLCs, DCS (DeltaV), and building automation systems
  • Execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities in a compliance-driven environment
  • Support new equipment installations and capital projects
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage (one-week duration) and respond to plant emergencies
  • Document work activities in a CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Oracle)
