About The Position

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a Minnesota Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician to support and improve our plant’s electrical and automation systems. This role is ideal for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working with PLC controls, and contributing to automation and process improvements in a modern industrial environment. Under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent, you will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting automation systems, and leading electrical and instrumentation upgrades.

Requirements

  • Minnesota Journeyman or Master Electrician License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with industrial electrical systems and motor controls
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and process control systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety and compliance

  • Experience in manufacturing or processing plants
  • Experience with PLC programming
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
  • Experience supporting automation or electrical upgrade projects

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC, HMI, process control, and industrial electrical systems
  • Maintain and calibrate instrumentation and process control equipment
  • Install, configure, and support electrical hardware, control systems, and software
  • Assist with the design and installation of new electrical and automation systems
  • Support plant automation and electrical upgrade projects
  • Maintain electrical schematics, control system documentation, and system prints
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC and company safety standards
  • Research and recommend electrical and instrumentation equipment for plant projects
  • Assist management with project planning, cost estimates, and system improvements
  • Provide occasional support for mechanical repairs on process equipment
