About The Position

The Procurement Specialist will provide support to IT Procurement leadership with key tasks and activities related to strategic sourcing methodology. This position should have the ability to work semi-independently (with modest support from sourcing leadership) across the strategic sourcing methodology steps and deliverables including global / regional spend analysis, RFx preparation, communication, delivery and evaluation, and negotiation preparation. Requirements

  • Excellent professional communications (verbal and written) with suppliers, stakeholders and management.
  • Proven spend analytical skills including ability to drive data collection and analyses, interpret and draw conclusions, and effectively summarize results.
  • Resourcefulness gathering specific supply market research and intelligence that support making strategic sourcing business decisions.
  • Ability to problem solve with limited data and ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to work through the Strategic Sourcing process / methodology.
  • Established customer service skills, with an understanding of customer relationship building, communications and teamwork.
  • Self-disciplined and the ability to self-motivate and work successfully with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a desire to learn and ability to work independently in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel), presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint), Oracle iProcurement and spend analytics tools.
  • 2-5 years of sourcing and procurement experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required with a preference for Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPSM, CPM or Supply Management certification a plus.
