Income Maintenance Caseworker IISalary Grade: 63 ($37,847 – $39,739 depending on experience, qualifications and skills) General Description This employee is responsible for the process of determining/re determining applicants/customers eligibility for Economic Services Programs (Food & Nutrition Services, Family & Children’s Medicaid, Adult Medicaid and Crisis/Energy Programs). Process will include the functions of intake, processing and review determination. Work at this level includes such tasks as the interviewing of customers to obtain required information, completing initial applications, verifying the information obtained, determining program requirements and options and advise or refer customers to other program services as appropriate. Employee will report to an Income Maintenance Supervisor. Employee must be a team player, and have excellent communication skills. Employee must have a good knowledge of program requirements. Employee is accountable for the work performed keeping in mind the negative impact errors have upon the county as well as the customer and his/her family in determining and re-determining case eligibility. This employee must be able to deal with customers in a professional manner in both positive and negative situations. Employees in Income Maintenance Programs work closely as a team and assist in developing systems that improve customer service.
