The Inbound Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing inbound logistics operations, ensuring efficient and effective coordination of inbound shipments to support production and distribution activities. This role involves supervising a receiving team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize inbound logistics processes. The supervisor will implement inbound logistics strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance. They will also monitor and review inbound logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, lead times, and inventory accuracy, and implement corrective actions as needed. This role tracks specific key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost-saving measures, process optimization, and revenue generation within inbound logistics operations. The supervisor is also responsible for food safety, notifying management about actual or potential food safety issues, and is empowered to act to resolve them within their scope of work. If the position is vacant, the direct manager or a qualified designee will assume food safety and quality related tasks.
