About The Position

Looking for a full time overnight position with a thriving business? Associated Grocers is the company for you! We are currently seeking an Inbound Expeditor to assist the receiving team by preparing receiving documents, communicating discrepancies, and monitoring the flow of inbound freight from common carriers using Warehouse Management Systems and Managed Receiving. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal customer service skills.
  • Print receiving documents based on receiving schedule.
  • Review delivery documents for driver signature and reconcile the purchase order to the bill of lading for overages, shortages and damages.
  • Receive inbound freight for correct item and quantity per the purchase order and bill of lading.
  • Inspect for damages and infestation, Report accordingly.
  • Perform basic Label Control Clerk functions, such as printing and releasing orders for selection.
  • Check for correct temperature of trailer and product.
  • Communicate discrepancies to procurement.
  • Identify and communicate any issues that will cause incentive loads to exceed agreed upon timeframes regarding unload time and overages, shortages and damages.
  • Utilize Managed Receiving to manage inbound freight.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation rules, regulations, and guidelines. Responsible for following all food safety procedures established by the site.
  • Monitor the third-party personnel working in your area.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
