The Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing this program, supporting more than 1,000 mentors each year. The primary point of contact for partner schools - communicating regularly with school personnel about mentor status, tracking mentor/student matches and monitoring mentor attendance. This position also leads all new mentor training sessions for in-school mentors. The Coordinator provides ongoing support to volunteers through regular communications and monthly training opportunities. Additionally, this role assists in mentor recruitment, retention and recognition efforts. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, plus one to two years experience in related human service field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication, organizational and event planning. Public speaking and excellent communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency auto insurance requirements. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Must be at least 18 years of age.
