About The Position

We’re building out an In-App Content Team to bring the Facebook brand to life within the app, sharing helpful tips, the latest product features, and key brand messages with Facebook users. We seek an experienced and accomplished In-App Marketing Manager to join the team. This person will craft content strategies that elevate the Facebook brand and the app’s latest features, developing best-in-class editorial programs that drive brand preference and app engagement, aligned to business and brand goals. Our ideal candidate will have experience leading in-app marketing efforts, or a background in creating stellar content for audiences at scale with a keen eye for optimization and leveraging metrics to sharpen our program over time. They should excel at creating and maintaining cross-functional partnerships, and running content efforts for a high-profile brand within the consumer tech industry.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience and proven success building scaled content for global consumer brands or entities in brand marketing at a tech or media company. Prior in-app editorial experience is a big plus
  • Experience building editorial programs and content franchises from the ground up, demonstrating resourcefulness and rallying behind a shared vision
  • Experience with creative strategy and copywriting, inspiring creative teams and agencies
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, environment, thriving amidst ambiguity while ensuring executional ability
  • Impact-oriented and experienced tracking performance, reporting on results, implementing optimizations and introducing new innovative approaches as needed
  • A keen understanding of consumers, with a demonstrated experience utilizing consumer research and data to drive actionable insights to develop marketing strategies and plans
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience influencing cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Deep understanding and enthusiasm for Facebook as a brand and product
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, journalism, or related field
  • Global experience working on brand content across a number of markets

Responsibilities

  • Owns and drives the content strategy for one or more scaled editorial programs within Facebook - building on and sharpening the vision for the space
  • Drives the end-to-end content production cycle for their in-app program/s, from aligning topics to briefing, content creation with internal and external partners, managing stakeholder reviews, through leading flawless launches
  • Leads reporting of content marketing initiatives to determine content effectiveness, owning outcomes and driving optimizations
  • Bridges the gap between our in-app editorial efforts and go-to-market prioritization and brand narrative exercises, ensuring our editorial calendar always maps back to priority business and brand needs
  • Partners closely with cross-functional partners across product and brand marketing, in-house and external creative agencies, consumer insights, marketing decision science, communications, and more
  • Surfaces best in class global content, trends and conversations to push our approach forward
  • Experience flexing between strategic and tactical/execution responsibilities as needed, and serves as a representative of our In-App Content Team to the broader Facebook and Marketing orgs
