About The Position

The Implementation Support Associate plays a central role in advancing IFAC’s work on international standards. This position helps convene and coordinate input from across the accountancy profession to develop unified, high‑quality responses for international standard‑setting consultations. It also supports global efforts to promote the adoption and effective implementation of international standards by developing practical resources and facilitating access to guidance materials. The role may also contribute to transforming advocacy, regulatory, and policy insights into actionable tools, resources, and communications for stakeholders worldwide. Reporting to the Head of Advocacy, Regulatory, and Policy, the Associate focuses on project coordination, content development, and stakeholder engagement to ensure IFAC’s outputs are practical, accessible, and aligned with stakeholder needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Public Policy, Communications, International Relations, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, technical communications, or developing technical resources, ideally within a professional services firm, standard setter, or professional accountancy organization.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards, including assurance, ethics, and corporate reporting, with experience supporting or preparing responses to standard‑setting consultations considered highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical material into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with digital collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, project management software) and use of artificial intelligence applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data to support decision‑making and identify key insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, cultures, and levels of seniority, including with external stakeholders and government officials.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deadlines, including those driven by external timelines.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement in deliverables and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with flexibility especially important.

  • Experience with content management systems, and social media tools.
  • Familiarity with regulation, or public interest policy.

Responsibilities

  • Support technical input to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), and other independent international standard‑setting boards by gathering information, organizing materials, and assisting in the development of high‑quality draft responses.
  • Develop and enhance practical implementation support materials including guidance documents, toolkits, infographics, and slide decks
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize stakeholder feedback (e.g., comment letters, survey results), identifying key themes and insights to inform IFAC’s implementation and advocacy activities..
  • Coordinate implementation projects, maintaining project trackers, updating deliverables, and supporting timely, clear communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide content and logistical support for webinars, workshops, policy dialogues, and other stakeholder events, ensuring that materials are accurate, effective, and well‑organized.
  • Collaborate across IFAC teams to align messaging, share insights, and ensure coherence across organizational outputs.
  • Prepare materials for internal knowledge‑sharing, including briefings, summaries, and presentations that help colleagues stay informed on standard‑setting and implementation developments.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation, including version control, project materials, and reference files to support transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Recommend improvements to the format, design, and delivery of IFAC resources, contributing to more effective knowledge sharing and stakeholder engagement.
