About The Position

You’re an expert when it comes to all things payroll and HR operations and you genuinely enjoy it. You love bouncing between hands-on system work, client projects, troubleshooting, testing, audits, reconciliations, and process improvements. You’re the kind of person who can walk into almost any HCM system and figure it out. If you’ve worked in platforms like iSolved, Paylocity, ADP, Rippling, BambooHR, UKG, Ceridian — or similar — you know the truth: once you understand payroll and HR operations, you can navigate just about any system. Now you’re ready to use that expertise in a more strategic, consultative way: guiding clients through implementations, helping them design better processes, and supporting them long-term, all while maintaining a real work-life balance. (Yes, we mean it. Hint: It really does exist here.) As an HCM Implementation & Support Consultant, you will lead clients through the design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of their iSolved HCM solution. This is a highly client-facing role requiring strong payroll and HR operations knowledge, HCM systems expertise, and exceptional organizational and communication skills. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to your clients — guiding them through system configuration, best practices, and process optimization — while ensuring successful go-lives and long-term system adoption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on HR and payroll operations experience (including payroll tax)
  • Experience in a client-facing consulting or implementation role
  • HCM software implementation experience (iSolved strongly preferred)
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional client experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead new clients through full-cycle iSolved implementations, ensuring payroll and HR business processes are configured effectively
  • Conduct discovery and needs assessment sessions to gather requirements, advise on best practices, and guide strategic configuration decisions
  • Translate client requirements and configuration decisions into system build specifications
  • Serve as the functional subject matter expert (payroll, HR, benefits, compliance) throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Plan and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful and on-time go-lives
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and issues early — developing workarounds and escalation plans as needed
  • Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for system support
  • Troubleshoot system issues and partner with internal teams to drive resolution
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with clients throughout the support process
  • Deliver system training and prepare clients for post-implementation self-sufficiency
  • Document discovery findings, requirements, configuration decisions, action items, and implementation progress
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and status reporting
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of BPM’s implementation methodology and client experience
  • Ensure accurate and compliant payroll configuration, including taxes and deductions
  • Provide guidance on payroll compliance, benefits, and HR policies
  • Stay up to date on federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and testing as part of system implementations
