SS&C is looking for an OMS Implementation Consultant to join the Order Management System Implementations team. We are looking for an organized individual that can coordinate with a variety of internal/external stakeholders, communicate with project managers, and consult on solutions to best fit clients’ business use cases. OMS Implementation Consultants play an essential role in nearly every phase of SS&C’s implementation project, from post-sales project design to client requirement delivery. Collaboration is an important part of the role, to ensure that the onboarding requirements are understood by internal/external stakeholders and implemented to plan, ultimately driving client satisfaction through effective project execution. In addition, OMS Implementation Consultants are responsible for creating effective, scalable, and supportable configurations through testing and analysis of different workflows based off initial requirement gathering. We expect the individual to help develop and apply best practices with an eye on constantly improving team’s effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2 – 10 years of professional experience in either a financial services or technology support role preferred
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills; must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills to set internal and external expectations
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, Windows server environments and experience learning new technical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the sales team and implementation architects to understand client needs/workflows for the Order Management System during beginning stages of project
  • Implement, configure, and test the front-office product suite with a focus on core Order Management functions and integrations
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across global clients and help address the pipeline of new implementation work
  • Work alongside team members to help as they manage all aspects of the Eze OMS implementation from gathering and documenting business requirements to outlining systems configuration and integration concerns; provide backup coverage when needed and share in team successes
  • Implement key workflow configurations as agreed upon in documented Business Requirements
  • Coordinate and help document user acceptance testing and configurations utilizing a training tracker matrix
  • Lead OMS overview and deep-dive product training sessions for various user personas including Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Operations
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal specialist teams (FIX, APIs, Compliance, etc.), clients and third parties, and assist Project Managers in providing status updates
  • Support client go-live events both onsite and remotely as required; investigate/triage issues on the fly during the post go-live period prior to transitioning client to BAU support
  • Document client configurations and customizations to be referenced for support teams
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to identify areas of inefficiency and improve internal team processes
  • Continuously develop business knowledge of the investment management industry through exposure to different client profiles including hedge funds, asset managers, and ETF providers
