Overview The Senior Manager, IMO Lead is accountable for the strategic planning and cross-functional execution of integration plans to realize synergies and create value for Gallagher. This role will primarily report to executive sponsors of the IMO. They serve as a lead integrator of divisions, functions, and merger partners, coordinating workstreams to achieve integration goals. They manage dependencies and risks by identifying and framing key problems, advising workstreams on prioritization of activities needed to achieve goals, and facilitating cross-functional solutioning exercises. The Senior Manager supports the IMO Leader with synthesizing program status for executive meetings. They leverage IMO resources to provide decision support and execution support to workstream leaders based on priorities. They are accountable for the delivery of error-free ad-hoc analyses to diagnose and drive resolution of cross-workstream issues. The Senior Manager also steers the Project Management and Administrative function of the IMO to drive efficient cross-functional processes to execute Integration plans, report on progress, and measure synergies and costs. They will deploy IMO resources to govern the utilization of the integration project management tool (Planview), facilitate meetings including cross-workstream updates and solutioning sessions, and guide workstreams through processes to collect information for reporting. They will advise Integration Finance leadership on the identification, tracking, and reporting on key integration finance metrics.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of management consulting experience (or minimum 2 years of experience on integration planning and post-merger integration required; minimum 1 year of supporting an Integration Management Office)
  • Strong experience with analyzing data to build robust models and communicate insights
  • Expertise with crafting and delivering effective executive presentations
  • Expertise with facilitating cross-functional solutioning initiatives and leveraging internal networks to advance integration goals
  • Experience with due diligence, org design, and change management
  • Experience driving PMO and managing complex projects with multiple workstreams across functions and departments
  • Experience managing junior team members and guiding the development and review of large cross-functional deliverables
  • Expertise with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with an Insurance broker or other company within the Insurance industry
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Think-Cell
  • Advanced skills with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R

Responsibilities

  • Lead as a trusted advisor for the IMO leadership and Steering Committee, and provide decision support
  • Leverage an expert understanding of the M&A lifecycle and best practices to proactively identify cross-workstream risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Surface critical challenges for leadership by synthesizing how workstreams fit together and framing integration challenges
  • Develop robust hypotheses and propose solutions to cross-functional groups and leadership
  • Synthesize overall program status for executive meetings
  • Provide execution support for workstreams by leading cross-functional integration planning and solutioning initiatives
  • Utilize exceptional analytical skills to synthesize high volumes of information and data into a clear summary of the underlying situation, key complications, and best alternatives
  • Drive resolution of risks, issues, and dependencies by facilitating cross-functional solutioning sessions, documenting plans for resolution, and engaging key stakeholders to drive plans to completion
  • Ability to quickly deliver value in a dynamic situation, identifying and providing ad-hoc analyses and execution support to executive stakeholders where needed
  • Lead the governance of IMO project management and administrative activities
  • Manage expectations for workstreams to track and report on progress via an integration project management tool (Planview)
  • Interface with IT and business leadership to advance adoption of Planview for the integration
  • Drive effective cross-workstream meetings and other critical path meetings with workstreams
  • Partner with workstream leaders to collect data required for IMO and Integration Finance leadership to track resourcing, budgets, and synergies
  • Leverage a team of IMO Support resources for decision support, execution support, and cross-workstream leadership
