Purpose: Join Athene as an Internal Wholesaler supporting our IMO channel, where you'll play a key role in driving annuity sales through strategic partnerships, proactive outreach, and expert product consultation. This is a high-impact role for a motivated sales professional looking to grow within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • FINRA Series 6 license required within 6 months of hire date
  • Minimum 4 years of successful sales experience in the financial services industry. Strong preference for annuity product sales experience.
  • State insurance license required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with annuity illustration software preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of or progress toward industry certifications (e.g., LIMRA, LOMA, CLU, RICP, ChFC) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Relationship Managers to drive sales growth in assigned territories through prospecting, profiling, and relationship building with a primary focus being on outbound call activity.
  • Maintain frequent contact with assigned IMOs, principals, marketers, and agents to strengthen engagement.
  • Plan and lead webinars, conference calls, and virtual campaigns.
  • Execute proactive call campaigns in coordination with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Provide expert consultation on Athene’s products, services, compensation structures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop and follow up on targeted email campaigns.
  • Increase awareness and adoption of Athene annuity products through strategic outreach.
  • Collaborate with Service Liaisons to resolve service issues and exceptions.
  • Track and follow up on all sales leads.
