Inotiv is looking for a Scientist I to join the Immunohistochemistry department. This position is responsible for performing automated staining on various tissue samples. Job Summary: Communicates with clients, assesses project feasibility, and collaboratively writes study designs and quotes relevant work. Conducts and evaluates immunohistochemical (IHC), immunofluorescent (IF), and in situ hybridization (ISH) staining. Performs method development and/or optimization of assays as requested and communicates technical details and results to clients and internal teams as needed. Strong team coordination, effective communication, high attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality data are essential. Job Summary: Assess project feasibility and collaboratively generate study design and quote. Evaluate targets and research antibodies, required controls and detection methods. Maintain communication with client regarding IHC/IF/ISH technical details and results pre-, during and post- project initiation. Work collaboratively to manage project workflow within requested timelines. Plan, program, and execute IHC/IF/ISH slide staining using automated stainers. Design, troubleshoot and optimize IHC/IF/ISH staining protocols for novel targets in various species and tissue types. Work collaboratively with lab research associates at various project stages. Assess staining accuracy for QC, method development and troubleshooting. Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, antibodies, protocols, staining parameters, and results. Use and maintain online and local databases for documentation and inventory management. Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations. Other tasks as assigned.
