As an Immigration Case Manager on our Employment-Based Technology team, you will support attorneys and fellow case managers help global clients navigate the U.S. immigration system. This role will focus on data entry, back-office support, and administrative case work for our technology immigration practice. You will provide essential support to ensure data accuracy, efficient case preparation, and smooth processing of employment-based immigration matters, including non-immigrant visas (H‑1B, L‑1, TN, E‑3, E‑2, F‑1/F‑2, B‑1/B‑2), PERM, I‑140 immigrant petitions, and I‑485 Adjustment of Status applications. Typical work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, but flexible. This position can be fully remote from any U.S. location, or based in either our Troy, MI or Ann Arbor, MI office as an in-person or hybrid role. Please note - although this role can be remote, all work must be performed within the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study
  • 0-2 years of experience in legal support, administration, customer service, or related fields
  • Working understanding of immigration processes or immigration law
  • Tech-savvy mindset with curiosity to learn new systems, tools, and workflows
  • Proficiency with legal platforms such as BlueDot, INSZoom, or similar systems
  • High proficiency in document tools like Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally and effectively with team members both in person and using tools like Teams or Slack
  • Excellent client service skills, delivering highly responsive and proactive client service
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization in fast-paced, high-volume settings
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and calm professional attitude
  • Cultural competence in working with international clients and diverse teams
  • Passion for immigration and global mobility

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with our attorneys, you'll support employers and their international employees in a variety of occupational categories and industries
  • Assist with client intake and case preparation by entering and validating high-volume data (including questionnaire responses, contact details, and document checklists) into our immigration case management system
  • Ensure all client records and related data are accurate, complete, and up to date. Document missing information for follow-up by a senior team member
  • Assemble filing packets (forms, supporting documents, etc.) for attorney or senior team member review
  • Effectively prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced environment, while consistently meeting strict deadlines and achieving high performance goals
  • As you develop your skills, you’ll have opportunities to take on more advanced tasks such as drafting, case preparation, and client communication
