About The Position

Paralegal Manager - Family-Based Immigration The Family-Based Immigration Paralegal Manager oversees a team of paralegals while maintaining a personal caseload. This role blends hands-on casework, case management, and team leadership to ensure high-quality legal services, consistent processes, and an excellent client experience. The Paralegal Manager plays a critical role in supporting attorneys, guiding paralegals, and ensuring matters move efficiently and accurately from intake through resolution. This position is hybrid, with an expectation of working in the office at least three days per week and the option to work remotely up to two days per week.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of family-based immigration paralegal experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of experience supervising or mentoring paralegals or legal staff strongly preferred
  • Spanish language skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages a personal caseload of complex family-based immigration matters, including petitions, applications, and related filings.
  • Preparing cases for attorney review, drafting client correspondence, assembling complete and accurate filings, and tracking deadlines to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and firm standards.
  • Oversees case workflow and quality control for the team. This includes opening and assigning cases, monitoring deadlines and task completion, and reviewing cases to ensure they are accurate, complete, and ready for filing.
  • Communicates proactively with family-based immigration clients, resolves case-related issues, and ensures clients understand timelines, requirements, and next steps.
  • Supervises, mentors, and supports paralegals, promoting consistent work quality, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Ensuring adherence to service and quality standards, preparing reports, reviewing correspondence and invoices, maintaining case status tracking, and identifying opportunities to improve processes, templates, and workflows.
