About The Position

This position in radiology involves performing quality diagnostic radiographs and assisting the radiologists and residents. General radiography, ultrasound imaging and portable radiography are the main functions. As experience grows, advanced imaging modalities such as CT and special procedures will be included. Prior animal handling experience, veterinary technician certification and/or radiology technician certification is required. Requirements

Must be a CVT/LVT/RVT or eligible to sit for and pass the VTNE within the next three months.
Veterinary Technician, Imaging A- CVT or board eligible- 0-1 year of experience
Veterinary Technician, Imaging B- CVT 2-3 years of experience
Radiology Technician certification may be considered.

Responsibilities

General radiography/orthopedic/portable work
Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)/computer work
Teaching students
Animal handling and monitoring
Ultrasound
Special procedure studies/special species
Teaches or assists in teaching veterinary and veterinary technician students.
