About The Position

The Imaging Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and staffing of imaging to ensure organizational viability, quality, safe delivery and review of Imaging Services from a technical perspective to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients in all areas of Imaging at the facility. Responsible for leading strategy of Imaging service line and managing employees at designated facility. Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare provider
  • Demonstrated progressive experience as an Imaging Services clinician or business leader
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail, and scheduling applications
  • Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of progressive experience as an Imaging Services clinician or business leader.
  • Two years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical or business field
  • Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist (if required by the State for clinical discipline) or an RN with Imaging nursing experience. - and - Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
  • May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Quality, Cost-Effective Imaging Services: Focus on delivering high-quality, customer-oriented imaging services efficiently.
  • Promote Customer Service and Patient Care: Develop employee customer service skills and foster a patient-centered care culture, while also building positive relationships with facility leaders, radiologists, and staff to implement best practices.
  • Manage Human Resources: Oversee staffing, performance evaluations, education, hiring, and disciplinary processes.
  • Develop and Manage Budgets: Create and manage department and capital budgets, emphasizing cost control and savings.
  • Ensure Compliance: Operate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional radiology services in compliance with State and Federal laws and Intermountain policies.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Work with others to continuously improve the Intermountain Operating Model.
  • Maintain Competent Staff: Ensure caregivers are competent operationally, clinically, and financially, and develop employee-retention strategies.
  • Provide Effective Leadership: Lead, supervise, and direct caregivers, ensure equipment is functioning, and demonstrate learning agility.
