About The Position

The Imaging Manager at OrthoArkansas is responsible for the leadership, management, and operational oversight of all imaging services. This role ensures high-quality diagnostic imaging operations through staff leadership, equipment oversight, vendor coordination, and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards. The Imaging Manager works closely with physicians, radiologists, IT, and clinical staff to maintain efficient workflows and deliver exceptional imaging services to patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in radiology or medical imaging.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical imaging technologies including X-ray, MRI, and CT.
  • Familiarity with PACS systems and radiology software.
  • State licensure.
  • ARRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care.
  • Basic: 10-Key, accounting systems, spreadsheets, word processing/typing

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and supervision for all imaging department staff.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline imaging department staff, ensuring high technical competence and professionalism.
  • Manage staff scheduling, staffing costs, and maintenance of required credentials and certifications.
  • Maintain personal imaging certifications and competencies.
  • Perform personal scanning on clinic-owned MRI and X-ray devices as needed.
  • Ensure technical quality and operational readiness of all imaging equipment.
  • Coordinate imaging services to meet patient care needs across clinic locations.
  • Coordinate routine and emergency maintenance and repairs for imaging equipment with service providers.
  • Oversee the condition, performance, and technical quality of all imaging equipment.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to imaging services and equipment.
  • Coordinate relationships with radiology groups that provide imaging interpretation services.
  • Facilitate communication between radiologists, OrthoArkansas physicians, clinic locations, and hospitals regarding imaging services.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure imaging services support patient care needs.
  • Work with the OrthoArkansas IT Department to ensure imaging systems support patient care requirements.
  • Maintain operational coordination of PACS and radiology systems to support efficient imaging workflows.
  • Participate with department leaders in strategic, financial, and operational planning initiatives.
  • Develop, monitor, and adapt departmental policies, procedures, and standards to meet regulatory requirements and patient care expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support high-quality imaging services for OrthoArkansas patients, providers, and external customers.
