Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience in customer service and/or Patient Access
Responsibilities
- The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for warm accurate scheduling and financially related data collection prior to a patient arriving at the facility.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of scheduling imaging modalities and preps and insurance requirements to facilitate precertification, referral and authorization.
- Acts as a resource in department and offices; sometimes preparing "help fact sheets" or training.
