About The Position

The IDD Intervention Services Team Leader provides clinical and administrative supervision of staff delivering services for Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Crisis Intervention and through the Outpatient Biopsychosocial Intervention (OBI) Program. The IDD Intervention Services Team Leader is responsible for overseeing service delivery, ensuring effective program operations, and supporting high-quality, person-centered care. This position operates under the supervision of the IDD Practice Manager. The IDD Intervention Services Team Leader is responsible for the following:

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in staff supervision
  • 1 year experience in program development and implementation
  • 2 years of experience working with individuals with IDD who have mental health and behavior support needs or linking people with IDD to mental health supports
  • 5 years of experience working directly with individuals with IDD or other developmental disabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in health and human services field
  • Texas Driver License (in good standing)
  • Must be able to perform SAMA and CPR. Training is provided to employees once hired
  • Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting (15#- 45#), kneeling, pushing, stooping, climbing stairs, walking, standing, and sitting
  • Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and depth perception.
  • Qualified individuals must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising Crisis Intervention Specialists, After-Hour IDD Crisis Screeners and OBI Collaborative Care Coordinators.
  • Managing service delivery and program operations for the CIS and OBI programs.
  • Developing and providing oversight to the delivery of education and training events.
  • Implementing strategies for ongoing program development and improvement.
  • Managing state compliance with monitoring and reporting for CIS and OBI programs.
  • Participating in rotating after-hours, on-call crisis coverage schedule, providing crisis intervention and resolution via telephone or audio-visual platforms as needed.
  • Ensuring adherence to, and promotion of, Texana’s Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Travel throughout a 6-county service region
  • Maintaining a standard work schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with flexibility to accommodate client needs.
